TRIGGERWRIGHT
Six shots. One clock. Ten boss fights.
TRIGGERWRIGHT is a clockwork-western shooting roguelite about one learnable rhythm: take the shot, catch the chamber, and keep the clock alive. Every second of your run is your life, and it carries from one stop to the next.
The Last Bullet
- Ride a ten-act run across a branching trail. Each act is four stops — galleries, High Stakes fights, gunsmiths, clock repairs and sealed wagons — all played against one run clock, and it ends in a boss.
- Choose your road: a plain Gallery, or High Stakes, which asks for four more hits and pays double target gold and a bigger bounty. Then pick between the Gunsmith's run-long upgrades and a Clock Repair worth up to 18 seconds.
- Carry leftover time forward. Unbroken hit streaks bank up to 12 bonus seconds, paid when the boss falls.
- Build a larger cylinder deliberately, without ever changing the reload rhythm you learned.
- Face shield targets, red DO NOT SHOOT boards, trick targets and six champion machines — each a mechanism you must shoot open before its core will take a wound, and each one locks up again after every hit.
- Move through the Frontier, volcanic Emberfall, frozen Frostglass and the warped Lost Hour.
More Than One Show
Take on quickdraw duels, boss rushes, daily exhibitions, a four-venue championship, Roadshow missions and focused arcade modes. Four arcade weapons — one free, three earned with tickets — each with its own mastery ranks, plus mechanical target families, local records, badges and an in-game Game Guide, support long-term mastery without an online account.
Built for Flow
Reload information stays around the crosshair, targets telegraph when they are about to leave, and the game pauses automatically if its window loses focus. Banners, score receipts and notices sit in fixed docks at the edges of the screen, away from the targets. Mouse, keyboard and controller are supported.
Play Instantly
This is the free public 0.90.0-playtest.209 browser release. Click Run Game, then use fullscreen for the intended 16:9 presentation. No download, installation or account is required. Progress is stored separately in each browser profile; clearing site data or using storage-restricted private browsing can remove browser saves. Click the game once to enable audio.
Accessibility and Privacy
- Fullscreen and windowed play
- Separate master, music and effects volume controls
- Aim Sensitivity, which sets keyboard and controller-stick aim speed, plus screen-shake and reduced-motion settings
- Local saves, each with an automatic backup of the previous save; an in-progress run is checked before it resumes
- Statistics are optional and off until you choose. On first launch the game asks whether to share gameplay statistics (weapon, build, choices, accuracy, timing and progress), sent during play under a new ID for each run, with no name or account. Change it any time in Settings. Bug reports are sent only when you choose to send one.
- No advertising, DRM, session replay, persistent player ID or account requirement
Controls
Aim with the mouse and fire with left click. Right click reloads; press it again in teal for a fast chamber or gold for a Perfect Chamber. The Quick Start and the in-game Game Guide list the mouse, keyboard and controller buttons, and the Training Gallery (Learn to Shoot, on the title screen) teaches the basics hands-on in five short lessons.
System
A current desktop version of Chrome, Edge or Firefox with WebGL 2 and WebAssembly. Mouse and keyboard recommended; controller support depends on the browser. The build is single-threaded, so it needs no special browser flags.
AI Disclosure
This game contains generative-AI-assisted visual, audio, text and code material. It was chosen, integrated and tested specifically for this game; some of it was cropped or cleaned up with the project's own tools, and the rest — including the announcer voice lines and the main background paintings — is used as generated.
